ICCCOTT President, Jackie Gilna, was in Dublin last month to take part in the Ireland Canada Business Association (ICBA) Business Summit on October 27th, 2016.

In her report Deepening Trade Relations Between Canada and Ireland, she notes that “with a strong focus on shared values, economic growth and an appetite to drive awareness within the Irish and Canadian business communities, there is clearly a horizon of new opportunities.”

Upon arrival in Dublin, Gilna met with Canada’s Ambassador to Ireland, Kevin Vickers. The agenda included ICCCOTT’s mandate, the relationship with the Canadian Embassy and how to effectively work together to promote trade opportunities for our members.

Opening remarks came from our very own Jim Kelly, Irish Ambassador to Canada. Ambassador Kelly spoke about the priority he will attach as Ambassador to Canada to promote the next chapter of historical friendship and bilateral trade between our two countries.
